This Thing of Ours by Cammy Franzese

Good evening, friends! I’ve received a book from booksneeze, “This Thing of Ours,” by Cammy Franzese. Before I get started, though, I need to let everyone know that I received this book for free from the publisher through the booksneeze blogging program, and I am under no legal obligation to give this book a good review. Anything that I say is completely my own opinion and how I legitimately feel about it. Now, anyway, I honestly ordered this book because I legitimately thought that it was fiction. When the newsletter for December came in at the beginning of the month, I had no idea that this was a true story. Maybe it said it in the newsletter and I just didn’t pay attention, but no matter. This was a pretty cool book. It is about a woman who is married to a mafia guy, and how God keeps their marriage together. But I just couldn’t understand how a woman could marry a guy that she knew was a criminal. But maybe that’s just me. However, I did enjoy this book, I really did. It was interesting, and because I don’t live in a place where organized crime is an everyday occurrence, this was fascinating for me. I give it four out of five stars.

December 1941 by Craig Shirley

Hey there- I just received a new book from booksneeze, “December 1941” by Craig Shirley. Before I get started, though, I do need to say that I received this book from the Thomas Nelson publishing company for free, in exchange for a review. It didn’t have to be a good review, and whatever I say is my honest opinion. However, that being said, this is a good review. I loved the book! I love history, a lot, and lately I’ve been studying World War II. This book is about, as you guessed it, December of 1941, when the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor. When I hear about World War II, I always envision Hitler and the Nazi regime, but the side of Pearl Harbor is a big part of that as well. This helped me learn more about what had happened back then, how everything went down, and even went into what the culture was like before and after this fateful month. I love this book and I’m actually debating as to whether I should give it is a Christmas present or keep it for myself! I loved this book and I am giving it a definite five out of five stars.

The Christmas Note by Donna VanLiere

Good evening! How is everyone this evening? I've recently read a book by Donna VanLiere called "The Christmas Note". I ordered it for free from the Booksneeze Blogger's program in order to get myself hyped up for Christmas. Yeah, I'm one of those people who listen to Christmas music the day after Halloween and whatnot. Anyway, this book was SO SWEET! It's like that Christmas Shoes song, only in written form. Actually, if I'm not mistaken, it is by the author of the Christmas Shoes book. I think. But don't quote me on that. Anyway, I really enjoyed this book- it's about two neighbors, very different women, who bond over a cleaning project. Well, the one's mom died, and together clean her house. They get close. End of story. It's very sweet and I give it four out of five stars.

Jesus Calling Devotional Bible-NKJV

Hi! Oh, my goodness, I am SO excited to tell you about this new Bible I got from Booksneeze- but before I dive in, I need to say that I received this book for free from the Thomas Nelson publishing company in exchange for a legitimate review. So anything I say is completely and honestly my opinion. So, now, anyway, on with the show! The “Jesus Calling Devotional Bible- NKJV”, edited by Sarah Young, is so amazing. It’s a thick Bible- big enough to read with some good devotions in there, but not so huge that it sprains your back every time you pick it up. With prayers from everyday average Joes (and Janes) like us as well as several devotionals written by Sarah Young, this Bible is a very touching edition. The devos, written from the perspective of Jesus (it refers to Jesus as “I”, “me”, “myself”, etc. and the reader as “you”, “your”, etc.) With the Thomas Nelson Bible Guarantee for Life, if you wear this Bible out (which I certainly hope you do! Everyone need Bible time!!) you’re set up. I love the Bible, period. And the little extras set up in this edition sets this up for a solid five out of five stars.

The Wonder of Your Love by Beth Wiseman

Hey, everyone! I’ve gotten a pretty good book from booksneeze- “The Wonder of Your Love” by Beth Wiseman. Before I get started, though, I have to say that I got this book for free from the booksneeze blogger program through the Thomas Nelson publishing company. I am under no legal obligation to give this book a good review. Anyway! Now that that’s over, on with the show! So. This book was different than most Amish fiction. I mean, it’s about a single mother Amish family. Really? Don’t hear of that very often, do you? Well… I haven’t. But that may be because there are no Amish communities near where I live. So, anyway, like most Amish fiction, it’s a love story. Girl meets guy, they fall in love, happily ever after, the end, right? Yeah, pretty much. This is a good book, and great if you’re looking for a book that you can just kind of read without thinking too much. This is also good if you’re an avid Amish fiction fan. But then again, any Amish fiction book would be good then, wouldn’t it? Anyway, all in all I enjoyed this book a fair amount. I’d give it four out of five stars.

"Wrapped in Rain" by Charles Martin

Good afternoon! I’ve just received a new book from booksneeze, “Wrapped in Rain” by Charles Martin. Before I get started, however, I must say that I received this book for free from the booksneeze blogger program from the Thomas Nelson publishing company, and I am under no obligation to give this book a positive review. Everything I say is how I legitimately feel. Now, on with the show! This book felt kind of slow in the beginning, but after I muscled through the beginning, the book was very hard to put down. Tucker Mason leads what most people would consider a successful life- but what most people don’t see is the anger he still carries for his father and the pain he still harbors from his past. Raised by his housekeeper, a devout Christian, Tucker has moved away from his home, yet not moved on. When things happen in his life, he is forced to go back to the house that he thought he had left behind. Even though the woman who raised him is gone, he can almost still hear her prayers. But coming out of the darkness himself will take a mightier grace than he can scarcely believe in. This book was very good, I give it four out of five stars.

Water's Edge by Robert Whitlow

Hello! I’ve gotten a new book from booksneeze- “Water’s Edge” by Robert Whitlow. Before I get started, though, I need to tell you that I received this book for free from the Thomas nelson publisher through the booksneeze program, and I am under no legal obligation to give this book a good review. Whatever I say about this book is how I really feel. So, now, let’s move on with the review. I’ve never read a Robert Whitlow book (even though the cover says he’s a best- selling author.) But I’ve really enjoyed this one. It was kind of a mystery, a modern day one, with a mysterious death, surprising hunk of change, a beguiling woman and an international fraud operation. Just to name a few things. This book could compare to John Grisham, but more spiritual in nature. I enjoyed it and would probably like to read more of his books in the future. This book is well- written, thoughtful, and exciting. I loved the ending, as well. It finished quite nicely. This book also comes with a reader’s guide at the back (which honestly kind of surprised me- I mean, how many adventure books have reader’s guides? Lol J) All in all, I give this book four out of five stars J
